In a sense, this is a new start.  It will take a while before the new design is added, although all the others will still be here.

As it is a new start, it might help if I write a bit about what I plan to focus on.  Not to say that other topics won’t show up, but I plan to mostly focus on the following: Atheism, politics, nihilism and drawing comics.  Of course, there are related topics that fall under these (or over them, in some cases), but I plan to focus on these as the thrust of this blog.

Why the name “Netherbound”?  It carries two meanings–first, it is/will be the name of my comic*.  Second, it is a description of me (and other atheists, freethinkers, rational beings and general theist-irritators). In the same sense that other words (nerd, bitch, etc) have been “taken back” by the groups they once were used to deride, so should Atheists take back the idea of us being hellbound.  Third, as any nihilist will tell you, it is back to nothing we go–back to the nether.

The links have been updated, the catagories have been pruned, the posts have been purged, the badges fixed.  It’s a whole new world, baby!

* I noticed that there is, oddly another website about a comic named Netherbound, although his seems to be very different from what I hope mine will be–not only does his seem more “cartoony” than I want mine to be, he seems to have some actual artistic talent.  Well, I guess if one of us gets rich he can buy the domain from the other one.
